The captain of the Argentine basketball team, Olympic champion and former NBA, Luis Scola, leads StadioPlus, the revolutionary project that unites the world of sports with art. This innovative project will be technologically supported by the well-known Swedish Blockchain platform Chromia ($CHR) that it’s been in the space since 2012.

Luis Scola, StadioPlus co-founder, reached €700,000 investment round with Chromia

“The alliance with Chromia is a great step for our company, that they have trusted us means that we are on the right track. We want to take StadioPlus to the next level and become a go-to platform in the NFT world”, explains Scola.

StadioPlus has closed a first round of investment of more than 700,000 Euros led by the Swedish blockchain network Chromia. StadioPlus will function as both an NFT producer, licenser, and marketplace. The goal is to create the biggest platform and offer the next generation of sport NFTs.

“We want the NFTs that come from StadioPlus to be able to be used in virtual worlds, video games, digital museums and other decentralized systems. It is a step beyond art ”, explains Ginés Sánchez Navarro, Operations and Strategy Manager at Chromia.

As major strategic partners, Chromia’s team will also be bringing their extensive experience in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrency to the table in a supporting role. Chromia is a relational blockchain platform developing both Layer-1 and Layer-2 solutions for the next generation of dApp development. Their core team of Alex Mizrahi, Or Perelman and Henrik Hjelte are notable contributors to the cryptocurrency space, with roots stretching all the way back to the earliest days of Bitcoin with the Colored Coins protocol.

The company already has signed agreements with several notable athletes from the NBA, La Liga, and the ATP. The company is eyeing the first half of July for the release of their first collection, explains Jon Fatelevich CEO and co-founder at StadioPlus.

The company boasts a diverse team, starting with the Captain of the Argentine national basketball team, Olympic champion and former NBA player, Luis Scola. Through his long and storied career, Scola has developed a deep network of contacts throughout the sporting world that will assist in the acquisition of clients for the startup. Joining Scola are prominent sports lawyers Juan de Dios Crespo and Juan Crespo Ruiz Huerta, businessman and serial investor Jon Fatelevich and blockchain expert David Ortega.

The launch of the first collection of NTFs will be on July 7th and involves one of the most important digital artists in the world and a legend in the history of world football.
